Becca Bernard
Actor, Writer, Goofball
Becca is an Off Broadway actor, writer, and professional goofball living in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up with a steady appetite for Mr. Bean, Lord of the Rings, I Love Lucy and raviolis (her early birthdays often involved ravioli eating contests, which she won!).
She's passionate about storytelling across many platforms, working as a performer, writer, director, editor, producer, choreographer, and educator.
Onstage she specializes in ensemble and solo devised theatre with companies such as three-time Drama Desk Award nominee Parallel Exit in a special collaboration with Metropolis Ensemble, The New York City Children's Theater, and The Celebration Barn Theatre. Her musical solo show The Fainting Room has toured to 5 cities, numerous festivals and won the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus First of May award. She's toured with Clowns without Borders, the Zany Umbrella Circus, and brought cheer to hospitals as a clown with Laughter League and Lev Leytzan.
Her writing for stage, street, podcasts and TV is guided by the principle, “Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” ~Victor Borge
